Dancepad
In our physics class, we had a great activity because my classmate took a dancepad so we had the oportunity to dance. It was really fun to dance with my friends, it was also complicated to dance since I was dancing in the medium class it recquired a lot of movements. I enjoyed this class and I will like for my teacher to continue doing this kind of activities with us.
In physics we are studying Newton's three laws of motion, I will like to give my opinion of the relationship that this three laws of motion has with the dancing that we had on Physics class. First of all I will like to introduce you with Newton's three laws of motion:
1. An object at rest will remain at rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force. An object in motion continues in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
2. Acceleration is produced when a force acts on a mass. The greater the mass ( of the object being accelerated) the greater the amount of force needed ( to accelerate the object).
3. For every reation there is an equal and opposite re-action.
How could we apply this to the dancing:
Newtons 1st law: An object in motion tends to stay in motion. And a object at rest tends to stay at rest.
Dance: As we dance we exert a force in order to start spinning, twirling, or failing around.
Newton's 2nd law: F= ma
Dance: The harder we pushed on the floor, the faster we moved our foot to the next step or spin because my acceleration is proportional to the force applied.
Newton's 3rd law: Action/ Reaction
Dance: When we jumped into the air, we had to appply a downward force on the floor. The floor react to this force by pushing me equally. This is what causes me to leave the ground.
Hope you like my post, thank you for reading.
Great application of the Third Law!
